This Privacy Policy applies to all information collected through our mobile application, LAMAYAQ, and any related services, sales, marketing, or events.

1. What Information Do We Collect?

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register on the App, express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and services, or when you participate in activities on the App (such as taking quizzes).

The personal information that we collect depends on the context of your interactions with us and the App. The personal information we collect may include the following:

• Account Information: Email address and passwords (securely encrypted).

• Profile Data: Usernames, preferred syllabus categories (e.g., UPSC, JEE), and app settings (e.g., dark mode preferences).

• Performance Data: Quiz scores, total questions attempted, and accuracy percentages.

2. How Do We Use Your Information?

We use personal information collected via our App for a variety of business purposes described below. We process your personal information for these purposes in reliance on our legitimate business interests, in order to enter into or perform a contract with you, with your consent, and/or for compliance with our legal obligations.

We use the information we collect or receive:

• To facilitate account creation and logon process.

• To manage user accounts. We may use your information for the purposes of managing our account and keeping it in working order.

• To provide and deliver the requested services. We use your performance and category data to provide a personalized quiz feed and generate global leaderboards (if your profile is set to public).

3. Will Your Information Be Shared With Anyone?

We only share information with your consent, to comply with laws, to provide you with services, to protect your rights, or to fulfill business obligations.

Specifically, we use the following third-party service providers to power our backend:

• Supabase: We use Supabase for database hosting and user authentication. Your data is stored securely on Supabase servers. You can read their privacy policy at https://supabase.com/privacy.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

4. How Long Do We Keep Your Information?

We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting, or other legal requirements).

When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.

5. How Do We Keep Your Information Safe?

We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process (including using secure HTTPS protocols and Row Level Security on our databases). However, despite our safeguards and efforts to secure your information, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

We do not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under 13 years of age. By using the App, you represent that you are at least 13 or that you are the parent or guardian of such a minor and consent to such minor dependent’s use of the App.

Account and Data Deletion 

If you wish to delete your LAMAYAQ account and permanently erase all associated data (including your profile and quiz attempts), please email us at chaudharygaurav3@gmail.com from the email address associated with your account. Include "Account Deletion Request" in the subject line. We will process your request within 7 days
